Versatile Serving Ware
I had never heard of Armetale until I ran across a beautiful silver platter that turned out to not be silver at all. The piece I found while thrifting, came with the original tags still on it…and I had no idea what I was onto when I added this little beauty to my cart.
I just thought it was cute, and would make a great decorative piece or serving platter. Turns out I was right, but there was more to the story, too. With the original stickers and the logo embossed on the back, I was able to do a bit of research to learn more.
Armetale Serving Dishes
First off, I was surprised to learn that the Armetale line is part of the Wilton family. My family has used Wilton products for years, and if you’ve ever decorated cookies, cakes or cupcakes, you’re probably familiar with them, too!
By going to the Armetale site, as well as through Amazon, I was able to learn that Armetale is a 100% recycled, food-safe, aluminum-based alloy metal (I know it’s a mouthful…phew) that allows hot foods to stay hot longer and cool foods to stay cool longer. Each piece is crafted from a solid piece of metal and no coating is applied.
Armetale products will not break, crack, rust or tarnish…and there’s no need to polish. It is heat-safe up to 1,000 degrees. That amazes me!
Most of the Armetale line is oven, stove, grill, refrigerator and freezer-safe. What? It’s crazy, right? I think it’s super pretty, but the fact that it’s so versatile in its use it what’s got me wanting a cupboard full of the stuff. And the good news is, it’s not something that’s out of circulation! Armetale is available today in a variety of shapes, sizes and themes!
When not in use, these dishes and platters can be used as decorative pieces…as shown below!
Something for Everyone
There’s something for everyone in this line. Some of the pieces that have caught my eye are:
The Cowboy Hat Chip and Dip Server:
The Lobster Divided Serving Dish:
and, the Sand Dollar Serving Tray:
The options are multiple…see what strikes your fancy! Do you enjoy the cowboy, coastal or some other look?
Until next time,

The versatility amazes me. I need to get my paws on that sand dollar tray! I love running into little treasures while thrifting.
